Ulas Mehmet Camsari is currently a Clinical Fellow in Addiction Psychiatry at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He graduated from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey as a Doctor of Medicine. He served as a Resident in Psychiatry at The Cleveland Clinic and The Johns Hopkins Hospital, completed Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (Medical Psychiatry) Clinical Fellowship Training at University of Maryland, Baltimore before joining Mayo Clinic Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Program.  He has also background in basic neuroscience research using animal models. His current research project at Mayo Clinic focuses on studying the efficacy of Ceftriaxone in reducing the severity of Ethanol Withdrawal manifestations and reducing Post-Withdrawal Voluntary Consumption in rats. The project goal is to offer a safer alternative to the use of benzodiazepines for the management of Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome
